Note to future me: Make content you want to have in your life. That’s all.
Make something because you want it to exist. Because it is beautiful, or because it helps, or because you simply want to. It doesn’t have to always be life-changing (though that would be nice) and it doesn’t have to be beautiful (yea, that would be nice too).
Not everything has to validated by other people.
Yes, yes, all of that would be nice too. But, like you, you don’t have to prove something, be declared worthy, or be seen by others to have meaning.
You have meaning, just as you are. You are loved just as you are.
Creation, like life, is meant to satisfy you. To find love, to find peace, to find what lights up your soul. That’s all it’s about. That’s the need, the rest is a want.
Travel the world? Want. Loft home with high floor-to-ceiling windows? Want.
Find joy and exploration in the everyday? Need. Live in a home with peace, light (I mean this literally), love? Need.
There’s a lot of noise around you, all the time. Sometimes literally, with social media and people and shows and music. Take the time to sit in quiet and listen to yourself for a change.
No one can love you like you. So don’t neglect yourself, kay?
Just make the content you need to find peace.
Funny, if that’s how you know it’s your calling — you can’t feel peace unless you do it.
